LEGO Star Wars day is right around the corner! And 2024 does not dissapoint. This year has a stacked lineup of incredible new Star Wars sets and almost everything is worth buying! The cool part is LEGO rewards us when we spend to much money at the LEGO store. This year the Gift With Purchase for spending over $160 is the 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier.

Droid battle packs have been in short supply through the years and LEGO planned this well. By putting this set behind an extremely high paywall after such a long drought of droids it will be worth it! I am not sure what I will get on the 4th but I will do my best to get this set.

This set has been speculated for a long time now. Some people even expected a larger rerelease of the 75058 Carrier from 2014. Unfortunately this set is a little smaller then the 2014 model but it is an awesome looking build!

While we wont see a remake of the 75058 this set does throw back to the 2001 set 7126 Battle Droid Carrier. The new version includes 100 additional pieces and some newer buidling techniques. 40686 includes a six regular battle droids and two blue battle droid pilots. One extra minfigure from the original 2001 set. So what will you do this May? Are you going to spend too much money on LEGO again and get this incredible one of a kind GWP?
